Using the Record Video feature

Media Mill allows you to record video right within your browser, without any additional software. All that you need is a microphone and a camera. While the quality isn't great, it's the quickest way to get video online.

To begin, click the "Record Video" link on the left side of the screen. You'll see the recorder, with a window asking permission to use your camera and microphone. You'll need to click the "allow" radio button to use the application. You can also click the "remember" box to save some time in the future. We also recommend clicking the camera and mic icons at the bottom of the screen to select your default devices.

Next, click "close." If everything is working appropriately, you should see a preview of your video, along with a meter on the right showing the current audio level. The dropdown boxes at the top allow you to select different sources. For most users, "USB Video Class Video" is the correct option, though other devices may have other names.

When you're ready to record, just click the "record" icon in the upper right. To stop recording, click the stop button. When you're done, you'll have the option to either "publish" the video, or delete it. After clicking "publish" return to the "My Videos" page to access your newly recorded video.
